I have recvd a full time job offer for a Polygraph Examiner in the Middle East ( more specifically in Qatar). Besides other things they will provide free of charge a furnished flat, a car and several other beneficits. Taking into account the country flaws ( no many girls, restricted alcohol, no pork ) I was wondering how much to ask for salary. Any ideas ???? ------------------ Hól vagytok székelyek, e földet biztam rátok. Elvették töletek,másé lett hazátok. Vesszen Trianon !

Have you been to the Middle East? Although Qatar is a small country tucked away from the action, you will have cultural differences. If you are single, it will be an adventure. How long is the contract? Check on the cost of goods. Gas will be cheap. Language issues? Most of my overseas contracts have been less than a year, but they are in countries I am familiar with. Any tax issues?Jim B. IP: Logged |

Fed :The offer is as follows : Contract 3 years. Language : everything in english , arabic not required. Tax : Absolutely ZERO , no sales tax , no salary tax. Cost of living : High , but will give you a furnished flat. Cultural shock : depends on your psychology. If you think that in general the western countries are heaven, well , not exactly true. Thanks for you insights. Overall seems interesting. ------------------ Hól vagytok székelyek, e földet biztam rátok. Elvették töletek,másé lett hazátok. Vesszen Trianon !

I am aware of individuals who have received contracts in the Middle East. Their salaries have been between $100K - $150K per year. They received free housing and medical as part of the contract. If you can get all this plus a car, you should be in good shape. Looks like you may have a good deal. Good luck and let us know how things progress. Jim B. IP: Logged | |
